Biggleswade is a popular town that has seen steady population growth over recent years. In 2011 it was estimated that the population number stood at around 16,500. It was next estimated to have increased to over 21,000 by mid 2019.

The train services do operate over the weekend, however these services terminate at Kings Cross.
